TESTIMONIALS CAROUSEL AND Q&A
I’ve a pair of very old (1970’s) steel jerrys that I use for diesel. They were actually made in Germany and are solid as the proverbial brick outhouse. After years of use, the outsides looked pretty shabby so I thought I might replace them until I saw the quality of the current steel ones that I guess, like everything else, are made in the PRC. The steel in these new ones is so thin! So I intend to clean mine up and repaint them and they’ll probably last another 40 years. If I had to buy for fuel, I’d be looking at the solid plastic jobs rather than paper thin steelHelen
I have been using plastic fuel containers (now called ‘Fuel Safe’) for petrol, then diesel for almost 20 years in the bush.I still have the first one I ever bought and it is still as servicable as the day I bought it.They are indestructable. They don’t leak, smell, rust or rub through. The last 3 steel jerries I had I chucked out years ago.If you gave me half a dozen brand new steel ones I would never use them.Nate
plastic cans lighter and easier to handle but can suffer from expansion if exposed to to high temperatures (e.g. an Australian summer)James
I ordered a batch of 3 gallons and 5 gallons, to sell in my retail store and the customers like very much.I got red colour before, now I plan to order more with different color.Louis
